Episode 20 - The Five Steps to My Confidence Comeback with Katrina Blowers
On this final episode of Season One I’m sharing with you the story that took me the longest time to publicly tell. There was a lot of shame, fear and worry about what other people would think of me. And that kept me kind of hiding this, almost like a dirty secret, for several years.
It’s the story of the panic attack I had on television while I was reading the news live on air a few years ago.
I know many of you may now know about this - I’ve written and spoken about it a little before and the story’s appeared in major newspapers - but I wanted to specifically share the exact steps (there are five main ones) I took to make a subsequent confidence comeback.
THEN… Part Two of today’s episode is a Q and A! You guys have sent me some brilliant questions (haha, including about my love life… which I answer!!) and I had a lot of fun with these. In fact, there are some things I’ve never shared with ANYONE!
Before we begin, I want to point out I’m not a psychologist or a therapist… and I’m merely offering my tips as an insight of what’s worked for me. If you suffer from panic attack, and I use the word suffer because they are bloody awful, and none of the methods I suggest are really resonating, I do implore you to seek professional advice so you can get the help you need.
Please enjoy this episode and share with anyone else who would benefit. Also, I’d really appreciate if you left me a review before I release Season Two of the podcast in a few weeks time. It helps me get even more fabulous guests on the show.
Thanks so much for all your kind, thoughtful support of this podcast. I’m blown away almost daily by your beautiful messages of how much this has helped you on your own confidence journey.
